monotony

play ball become a rap star
sling dope sing dope sell drugs
play the lottery

its all monotony

mayorcraft

I am
the mayor of this craft
(the captain on my craft)
all alone
with a guitar in a raft
playin
a song that never ends
in a
sea that's never flat
meeting
every wave with a slap
horizon
floats out further as I laugh
it is

It is/Where the oceans so deep
It is/where the anchors don't reach
In my mind I retreat
can't tell anymore
eyes open and asleep (Im awake Im asleep)

My laugh
my only company
estranged
from the sound of my voice
who is this
speaking like a captain
on a raft
that is sinking
jump ship
as I tell myself
Intrigued
I'll ride this out until the end to

Where the oceans so deep
where the anchors don't reach
I've retreated into my thoughts
can't tell anymore
eyes open and asleep

paranoid lovers

There are eyes that are watching you
connected to a brain that is thinking you
connected to a mouth that is talking about you
and how your hand was connected to hers
with your eyes connected to hers
while your mouths connected

your favorite song

youre the only one I look for
anymore
when it hits 4
its you and me
out the door
out of work
its time to play
tell me
whats your favorite song

x

the x marks the spot
full of treasure
of buried memories
when everything was better

she got her x on her mind
yea I kinda mind
everything I say
I got to say it two times
cause

she got her x on her mind

writing

It felt like wednesday yesterday
a tuesday on monday
im ready for work
and its satruday
Im all mixed up

no money left
to spend
just love
so spend whts left
on me
on you

Hold Still

Its interesting where we be in
wondering
which way is the earth spinning

words

running out of patience
waiting for these paychecks

surrender your guns
surrender your love

I'm coming in with my ski mask on

wondering

we go wondering
into the night
after dark

into the city
into the light
into the heart

looking for trouble
or at least a
chang eof pace

give me a double
so i can
change this fface

who you are

you are whoe you are
until somebody comes along and tell you that you aint

you could be

be a star
until somebody comes along and tell you that you aint

baby girl
when you came came along
I could you see that you were a star

and you were
all along
I just someone like me to come along and to see you for who you are

who you are

you are whoe you are
until somebody comes along and tell you that you aint

you could be

be a star
until somebody comes along and tell you that you aint

baby girl
when you came came along
I could you see that you were a star

and you were
all along
I just someone like me to come along and to see you for who you are

walking

Im just going to keep walking
until I miss you
and if I miss you
I'll come back for you
and if I don't
then I'll just keep walking

And I'll probably start running
cause I know I miss you
but I came to far
too late to turn back
past missing me
past when the tears stopped running

rich thoughts

could I afford not to have love
if I was rich

could I buy it
and would it still be real
if i was rich

would my echo
stay unanswered
in the empty halls
of a mansion
I bought

and if i died
in these halls
not even my ghost would
have someone to haunt

would my friends
all return from where they came from
because all of them were bought

spend millions
on my own casket
yet not a single
flower would be brought
no tears would be shed
just a fight of who gets what
and why they get this much

Would talk about myself in the third person
and hire two maids and third person

style

things are in style
things go out of style
you'll lose your style
after awhile
but if wait long enough
you'll be back in style
then you'll be out of style
and then the definition
of your style is no style
which is your style

someone

theres someone out there for you
but that someone aint me
is what she told me

snow

u know money make the world go round
they got me up against the wall
with my pockets upside down

It was almost as if the tears were to heavy for one person to bear the way
we took turns crying. We knew it was the end as we stood there in there park, no one around but
us two. When one stopped crying and was able to put a sentence together again
the other broke out in tears. And when we both couldn't say anything else I knelt there
with my head in her lap and snowflakes began to fall suddenly. It wasn't in the forecast to snow
that day and there it ws snow all a round us. Just as the cloud of snow came over us
it dissappeared and out we walked from the forest. Know one ever knew it snowed that day when we asked
around just us two and the snow that took on the heaviness of our tears.

sitting

sittin here
wonderin
has anyone
written this song
lil diddy
diddy bout love
in a city
a city of thugs

same thing

its just the same thing
its just the same thing
day in
its just the same thing
and day out
its just the same thing
this song is not skipping
its just the same thing
until you came along
and made me feel different
the sky was bluer than usual
something different in your eyes

and when the pen runs out
so do my thoughts

struggle to hear songs about struggle

I wanna want you

I wanna play the bass in your merengue
salsa up your salsa

red hands

I lied
but you lied
next to him
by his side
I caught ya
red handed
matter fact two hands on em

push and pull

pull back before you push me too far
remember when
I said I could buy you that star
well plans change babe
Do you mind
if we look at it from afar

pull back before you push me too far
pull me close so I can see who you are
before im to far and dont know my way back
when I come back I forgot who we were

or why I came back

numbered days

numbered days
theres a thousand ways
to count a thousand days
a thousand dollars
woudl make it easier
to pay rent
for the next thousand days
count the clock down to 4
when its time to leave work
its counting mph
and numbered roads
each birthday
is one less number
well have to count
clocks that bang in my head
each stroke more intense
the boredom all alone
with these clocks
Like I never knew you
when we embraced
my bags packed
counting whats mine
my days were numbered already
when I came here
for the first time
damn plus I spent all that money

lifes a...

you ain the worst
but you ain the best

love sounds nice
unitl that shit hurts

life is like this
what did you expect

heavy thoughts

heavy legs heavy heart
heavy mind heavy thoughts

flow

life is a melody
relationships are songs
cross bridges
it starts slow
but doesn't last long

know it by heart

slow the speed cops around
what yo need while im still around

even numbers

even numbers

There was a man who did everything on even numbers.
He wouldn't leave for work until it was the top of the hour.
When he was little he once had the chance to save a woman drowning but
it was 8:57 and by the time it was 9:00 the lady had drowned.
He learned to except this little aggravation. He soon realized this
would hinder any sort of career at a normal job. He soon found himself
involved in criminal activity. This aggravation seemed to give him
an edge in the field. He was neer late and anything planned just had to be planned

crazy

keep me from crazy
changing lanes
on a road with no lanes
staring at the stars
on a cloudy night
talking to yourself
and you dont like the sound
of your own voice

change

am i going to change the world
or is the world gonig to change me
should i just fit in
go quietly

or make a sound
and see what comes follow me

you can have your corporate laugh
your corporate wear
matching socks

i dont need money
I just need your love

but for real
itd be cool to have a thou
I could chill with like a mil

love is good
but money rules still

burning heart

When I would walk in your heart
I would break tree branches to find my way back
and many times I didn't
so I burned the whole forest down

Hello
